The fuller story
A software engineer, yes — but really a curious generalist who keeps wandering into new domains and building things there.

I'm Aayush Lal Roy — a software engineer, but that's only the first line of the story. My real defining trait is that I'm a generalist: I get obsessed with a domain I know nothing about, use AI to learn it fast, and then actually build something that works.

The many sides of me
What I spend my curiosity on
The same drive to learn and build, aimed at very different worlds.
Technology
My day job and my first love. I build identity & authorization microservices at scale — contract-first APIs, query-performance debugging, and a lot of AI-assisted engineering.
See the engineering sideTravel
From the cold desert of Spiti to the backwaters of the south, I travel to collect stories. Each trip is slowly becoming a short story — a travel blog in the making.
Where I've beenPhotography
I see in frames. I keep a dedicated photography feed where I post the way I read light, shape and stillness on the road.
My photography feedAstrophysics
A lifelong fascination with the cosmos — stars, constellations and orbits. It's the lens I keep coming back to, and the visual theme of this whole site.
Agri-Tech
I want to bring technology to the soil. I built a climate-controlled rig to grow saffron with an ESP32 and zero electronics background — next up is hydroponic vertical farming.
